A funeral Mass for Rena Mary Lamontagne, 103, will be celebrated on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, Morgan Hill, California with Reverend Russell Roide, SJ, officiating.
Mrs. Lamontagne passed away on March 13 in Morgan Hill; she had resided in the area since 2008. She was born in South Portland, Maine, and moved to California in 1956 with her husband, Joseph, and their children. Mr. And Mrs. Lamontagne were residing in Santa Maria when Mr. Lamontagne passed away in May, 1993. Mrs. Lamontagne was also preceded in death by her eldest son, John Paul, in 2010.
Mrs. Lamontagne has been a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker throughout her life. She is survived by sons Joseph Peter (Jamie) and Jerry David (Jennifer) Lamontagne of Morgan Hill, California, James Roland (Frances) Lamontagne of Wildwood, Missouri and daughter, Janet Rae Pick of Agoura Hills, California, as well as seventeen
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lamontagne was a longtime member of the Miraculous Medal Association, the Legion of Mary, the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary, the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate, the Sacred Heart League, Militia of the Immaculata, Marianhill Mission Society, and the Knights at the Foot of the Cross.
Recitation of the Rosary and funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Morgan Hill on April 1, 2017 at 12:00 noon will follow cremation in Gilroy, California. Interment will be at Los Angeles National Cemetery in Westwood, California where her late husband was laid to rest, following a brief commital service at the cemetery chapel on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.
