OBITUARY( Abilene Reporter News) Wanda Grace Tucker, 89, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 in a local nursing home. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 22 in First United Methodist Church with Rev. Douglas Steinberg and Rev. Don Clevenger officiating. Burial was in Albany Cemetery. Mrs. Tucker was born March 10, 1914 in Stephenville. She married J. A. Tucker on September 9, 1934 in Smith Springs. He preceded her in death. They moved to Albany in 1935 and she was an active member of First United Methodist Church, serving as church secretary for many years and in other capacities. She was an Avon representative and a seamstress, worked at Ann King's Bakery and was an artist and member of the Rebecca Lodge. Later she became a certified medication nurses aide. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Tucker and wife Pat of Fort Worth and Joe Tucker and wife Pat of Abilene; one sister, Lois Norris of Fort Worth; one brother, Cecil Woolverton of Memphis, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren. One daughter, Bettie June Townsend, preceded her in death. Pallbearers were Keith New, C. L. Neff, Robert Hudman, Calvin Bradford, Charlie Churchman and James Garvin.1
