Cheryl Lynn Gallagher,67, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 7, 2017.
Cheryl was predeced in death by her husband, John Gallagher.
She is survived by three children, Christie Smith of Alexandria, Christopher Gallagher of Quantico, Va., and Erik Smith of Oregon. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kiara Smith, Clarence Lipford Jr, John Perez Jr, Isaiah Perez, Rebecca Smith, and Ashley Stanley. Cheryl is survived by one brother, Mike Donahue, and three sisters, Barbara Donahue, Jamie Kasper and Maureen Psathas, all of New York. Several nieces and nephews survived also.
Cheryl's family sends a very special thank you to her best friend, Mickey Gallagher, for her dedication and unconditional love for Cheryl for the past 30+ years.
The family sends special thanks to all of Cheryl's caregivers and Hospice of Tappahannock, and thanks to all her friends.

Cheryl had a true passion for life and was blessed with many talents. She had a big heart for animals and enjoyed supporting several rescues. She was indeed a horse lover and her horses Cheyenne, Mack and Thundercloud were her pride and joy, and enjoyed riding on trails and in parades with friends. She had a special touch and spirit with training dogs and also grooming. She also went back to school to become a equine massage therapist and enjoyed working with horses too.
Cheryl was very artistic and very talented in her drawings and paintings.
She had a sincere love for her family and friends. Anyone that was fortunate to have Cheryl in their life was truly blessed. She always gave 110% in all she did and was a true inspiration too many.
Cheryl will always be remembered as a strong, determined, passionate, loving, caring person that enriched everyone's lives who knew her.
