Spotley was a purebred "hairy hairless" Chinese Crested that we were lucky enough to find at a rescue organization in Florida. He came to live with us when he was 11 months old. He arrived food aggressive, not housebroken and was not a bit happy with our 4 month old puppy, Sailor. Eventually Sailor and Spotley became inseparable. He was lost when Sailor passed a few years ago. Slowly his own health declined. When he passed he was nearly blind and deaf.
My happy memories of Spotley include:
Remembering him race around the yard, he was fast.
Getting excited when daddy gave him a piece of cheese.
Being amazed when it sounds like he says "momma".
And when he visited cemeteries with me.
He lived 17 years 2 months and 2 days
