Jay M. Wieder, 78, of Denver, passed away on January 6, 2007. He was a popular ballroom dance bandleader for more than 50 years, and a prominent member of the local transportation industry. He was born September 16, 1928 in Iowa City, Iowa. Preceded in death by his wife Wanda, and one son, John. Survived by his children Kittie Sallee, Judi Lombardi, Lee Wieder, Cyndi Croft, David Wieder; 10 grandchildren, Tony, Robert, Anthony, Christina, & Tiffany Lombardi, Tamara & Kristen Wieder, Leslie & Nicole Croft, & Madeleine Wieder; 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Wieder, and one uncle, Robert Todd. Funeral Service, 10:30AM Thursday, Horan & McConaty. Military honors at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
