Billy "Papaw" Ward, 80, of Valrico, Florida, born May 30, 1936 in Hot Springs, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on June 20, 2016. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a retired meat inspector with the State of Florida. He was a family man who adored his grandchildren, and he enjoyed aircraft, classic cars, and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Stills Ward; daughter, Dolores Gustafson (Christopher Jerzak) of Brandon; grandchildren, Justin Ward of Valrico, Marissa Ward of Valrico, and Fallon Gustafson of Brandon; sisters, Mary Patelidas (Tom), Agnes Cathey (Norman), and Pat Dotson (Joe) of Asheville, North Carolina; and daughter-in-law, Denise Ward. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Ward; parents, Bill and Helen Ward; and siblings, Jim Ward, Betty Rollins, and Charles Ward.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 25 at 11:00 A.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S, Plant City, where the family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 A.M.
