Mrs. Mollie Colvin Barnes, 75, died at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Horton near New Market. Death was due to tuberculosis and followed a year's illness.
Mrs. Barnes was born and reared in the county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Josephus Colvin, both deceased, and had spent all her life here. Years ago she was united in marriage to George Barnes who preceded her to the grave. There were no children, and three sisters and a brother are deceased, she being the last of her family. For the past five years she had been with Mr. and Mrs. Horton.
The body was brought to the Bosley Funeral Home, where it remained until the funeral services, which were conducted yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Muldraugh's Hill Baptist church by the Rev. W. C. Hunley. Burial was in the cemetery at New Market.
