Vincent was stationed at R.N.A.S. Rattray, which was a Royal Naval Air Station near Crimond, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. In October 1944 it became H.M.S. Merganser, and was used for training Torpedo Bombing Reconnaissance crews.

Vincent died aged 19, at the Old Mill Hospital, in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Cause of death: Acute Leukemia.
