LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Douglas "Bear" Evans, 69, who died Thursday, July 28, 2016, were held Sunday, July 31, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Castalia, with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Surviving: daughters, Pamela Evans Brodie (Donald) of Louisburg, Pam Evans Jones (Kevin) of Castalia; sons, Dale and Douglas McArthur Evans (Tamara), both of Kittrell, James Christopher Evans of Louisburg; sisters, Inetta Evans of Wilson, Barbara Evans of Castalia; brothers, James Evans (Earnestine) of Louisburg, Percy Evans Jr. and Michael Evans, both of Castalia; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
