10th Premier of New Brunswick, Canada. A member of the Liberal Party, he served in this position from August 1900 until March 1907. After he was succeeded by William Pugsley, he served as New Brunswick's 12th Lieutenant Governor from March 1907 until March 1912. He died at the age of 67.
