George was born to Carroll and Gladys in Linden, Texas. He had 2 sons and 3 daughters. He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Angela D. Heard whose mother was Gloria Jean Stanley, his parents, four brothers and one sister. He was a retired pipeline welder and inspector and enjoyed spending time in his shop welding and tinkering, and taking care of his cows and farm.He had a special relationship with Kaydence "Debo" Heard, whom he gave the nickname Debo when she was 8 mons. old because she would empty his pockets every day. These two were always hand in hand.He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Debbie Heard of Atlanta, TX, a son Stephen Lance Heard from his marriage to Deloris Taylor, a daughter Tammy Creme and (son-in-law Quinton Creme) from his marriage to Gloria Jean Stanley, Jason and Natalie Heard from his marriage to Mitzi Griffin.George is also survived by one sister,Katherine Bernard, two brothers, Jerry and Doug Heard and wife Aida,and twelve grandchildren.
