Son of Geneva Hawkins Kerkhoff of Lafayette and the late J.Q. Kerkhoff. Kerkie was a farmer in Perry Township and was a certified welder at the Purdue University Power Plant for 16 years. He was a car enthusiast, accomplished mechanic and enjoyed playing golf.
survived by his son Heath Q. Kerkoff, daughter Jordan A. Kerkhoff both of Lafayette, two grandchildren. His brother Joe Kerkhoff of Lafayette, sister Ginny Kerhoff-O'Keefe of Tampa, Fl; nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his brother Jim Q. Kerkhoff.
