Margaret Dian Amacker "Dian" age 69 of Destin, FL passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 9, 1947 in Parsons, TN to L.M. and Margaret Lois Hardison. She was Catholic by faith and a member of the Resurrection Catholic Church in Miramar Beach, FL. Dian was a graduate of Union University, Jackson, TN; where she obtained her BSN degree. She worked mostly as a Surgical Nurse. She married Dr. Larry B. Amacker on march 28, 1982. She honorably served her country in Desert Storm as a First Lieutenant and became a disabled Army Veteran as a result of her service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Kenneth Hardison and Jimmy Hardison. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Larry Amacker; children, Shannon (Micki) Amacker of Destin, FL, Brandon (Mary) Amacker of Oakland, TN, Heath Amacker of Destin, FL, Andrew (Editha) of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Tad, Lacy, Joseph, Joshua, Lazarus, Matthew, Dominic and Archer; brothers and sisters, Tommy (Shelia) Hardison of Arlington, TN, Linda (Jimmy) Brasher of Decaturville, TN, Terry Bowman, Kris Nilsson of Humbold, TN.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at Resurrection Catholic Church located at 259 Miramar Beach Drive, Miramar Beach, FL on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Mass beginning at 11:30AM with Father Thomas J. Guido officiating. Following the local services Dian will be sent to Parsons Funeral Home, Parsons, TN for additional services planned for Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM with visitation from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
