Dr. Michael “Mike” Dean Castle, 63, went home to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, January 23, 2017. Mike was born in Clark County, Ohio and has lived in the Jacksonville area most of his life.
He was son of the late Ray & Mattie Castle. Mike retired in 2000 with 26 years service to the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office. After his career with JSO, Mike earned his Doctorate Degree in Ministry and began ministering in Jacksonville Churches.
Mike was Pastor of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 9714 Ridge Blvd., where his Home-Going service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 30, 2017 with Rev. George Kratochvil and Rev. Ray Mixon officiating.
Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in Pineview Cemetery, Folkston, Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, multiple brothers & sisters and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jeannie Marie Castle; 3 daughters: Michelle Rodgers, Christina (Christopher) Pius and Jeannie Marie (Dan) Grover; 3 brothers: Tommy, Robert and Charles Castle; 12 grandchildren: John-Michael, Kimberly & Samantha Rodgers, Kathy Maxey, Kaleb, Kiersten, Keegan, Konley & Kolten Pius, Richard Michael, Job Daniel and Jeannie Marie Grover; 2 great grandchildren: Hunter Primrose & Theodore Maxey and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
