Julia’s life began on May 13, 1926, in Leslie, Arkansas, the daughter of Elmer Lewis and Eva Luella (Newhard) Gipson. She graduated from Harrison High School and was united in marriage to Herbert Clyde Daniels on June 8, 1946, in Harrison, Arkansas. Julia worked for Washington Elementary School’s lunch program in the 1960’s. Herbert and Julia attended First Baptist Church in El Dorado. Local stores would carry and sell the costume jewelry she enjoyed making. She also enjoyed embroidering, making doilies and visiting around town in local coffee shops and restaurants. 

Her loving family includes her son, Marvin and his wife, Debbie Daniels and son, Roger Daniels all of El Dorado; six grandchildren, Bryan, Stephanie, Angela, Jamey, Sara, Scott and 15 great-grandchildren. 

Julia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert in 1993; brothers, LeRoy, Charles, Albert, Herbert, Virgil and Victor Gipson and a sister, Edith Gibbons. Julia passed away, Tuesday, January 24, at Lakepoint of El Dorado, having reached the age of 90 years old. 

Her funeral service will be held at Carlson Colonial Chapel on Friday, January 27, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Harms, First Southern Baptist Church officiating. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado, Kansas.
