A Rosary for Vellus Gene Kibodeaux, Jr., 73, Arp, will be held will be at 10:00 am, Monday, January 23 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton, with Father Daniel Dowel officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 24, at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie.

After a lengthy illness Gene peaceably passed away in his home in Arp, on Thursday morning, January 19, 2017.

He was born October 15, 1943 in Eunice, Louisiana to the late Vellus and Mary Kibodeaux.

Gene was a kind and caring person with a zest for life and adventure.

He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Kibodeaux of 35 years; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Ellen Kibodeaux of Hardin; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sybil and Johnnie Stone and Gwen Price; two sons, Bryant and John of Illinois; five grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In Lieu, flowers and donations can be made to the American Heart and Diabetes Association.
