Ralph Masters - CHUCKEY, TN
CHUCKEY — Mr. Ralph Dessen Masters, age 72, 350 Canon Loop, Chuckey, died Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at the Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Masters was a native of Washington County and son of the late Chester & Kate Campbell Masters. In addition to his parents, Mr. Masters was preceded in death by one brother, C.A. Masters.
He was retired from the Washington County Highway Department. He was a great fiddle and banjo player. He loved music.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy & Sandra Masters and Gary Masters & friend, Brittany Huff, all of Chuckey; one daughter, Regina & Larry Hughes, Jonesborough; one sister, Caroline Childress, Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Sarah Masters and Derek Masters, both of Chuckey, Windy Hogland, Jonesborough, and Cayden Nichole Brock Masters, Chuckey; two great-grandchildren, Melissa Hogland and Brittany Hogland.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, December 9, 2005 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Raymond Burkett officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Wesley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carl Rex Cloyd, Mark Mosley, Daniel Mosley, Sidney Greene, J.T. McKee, Joe Masters, Larry Childress, Louie Childress and Gene Taylor. Honorary pallbearer will be David Erwin.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday prior to the service.
