She attended schools in Brownfield, Cornish, Bethel and Rumford.
She worked at the Portland Shipyard during WWII and after moving to Norway in 1949 she clerked at Stones Drug Store, Lucks Market and W. T. Grants. She has also worked at the Bethel Inn.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing.
She married Everett Marshall in 1926. She later married Francis McAllister.
She is survived by one son, John and his wife Evelyn Marshall of Norway; a son-in-law, Robert Swan of Chelsea; one step-sister, Virginia Walker of Bethel; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and the extended family of the late Francis McAllister.
She was predeceased by both husbands; a brother, Cecil Poor; two daughters, Marilyn Toher of R.I. and Elizabeth Swan of Chelsea and a grandson, Stevie Toher of R.I.
