I believe this is Hilliard V. McCrea, Sr. - dates are from cemetery tombstone and his pension record on line, GA archives virtual vault. Wife, Mary Frances Smith McCrea supplied his complete death date on her pension- which matches month and date of death in the paper.. They married in Sumter County on Sept 28, 1856 - which she proves. See also Census records

He leaves 2 sons, Mr. H. W. McCrea, with whom he resided at the time of his death and Mr. Lee McCrea of Worth, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one brother, Mr. M. A. McCrea besides other relatives.
In an earlier paragraph of the column, it is stated that Mr. Will and Mr. Lee McCrea were called to the funeral of Mr. Kidd McCrea. Nowhere in any of the other issues of the paper does it identify Kidd, as H.V. MCrea Sr...but it must be as Mary F is his wife in the census record of 1900. Any information appreciated!
