A Lee man died in a one-vehicle accident early Wednesday afternoon in Lafayette County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Ray Anderson, 46, of Lee, was traveling northbound on County Road 53 in eastern Lafayette County just south of County Road 250, west of Dowling Park and north of Day, at 12:02 p.m.
According to the repot, Anderson’s 2009 Ford Ranger traveled across the roadway and onto the west shoulder of County Road 53.
Anderson’s truck struck a tree and came to a rest, the report stated.
Paramedics with the Lafayette County EMS pronounced Anderson deceased at the scene, according to FHP.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
