Richard, born 1826, is the son of William Marshall, a weaver from Carnteel, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Richard married Margaret Foster 2 Oct 1846 in the Church of Ireland, Carnteel in Augnacloy, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
They had sailed and settled in Quebec Province, Frampton/St Malachie area by 1851.
