Mrs. Akin attended Jefferson High School and also worked as a secretary there under Dr. Ron Rooks. She worked on her family's farm and Auto Sales Business. Joan and Robert operated a body shop for many years together. Other employment included Christian Financial Concepts and Barry King, Attorney at Law. Joan also enjoyed painting and writing poetry. She attended Academy Baptist Church. Many thanks go out to all her loving friends at church.
