Film Producer. He is best known for his collaboration with animator Ralph Bakshi on such controversial films as "Fritz the Cat" (1972) and "Heavy Traffic" (1973). "Fritz the Cat" was the first animated film to receive an X rating. Some of his other notable productions include the live-action features "Cooley High" (1975), "Which Way Is Up?" (1977), "Jennifer" (1978), and the television mini-series "Mistral's Daughter" (1984). He was married to writer Judith Krantz.
