Eugene retired as a foreman for the shipping and receiving department for New Castle Foundry after working for more than 30 years. He also served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Eugene was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Mary Mother of Hope Parish. He enjoyed going on morning trips to McDonald’s up until just recently.
Eugene is survived by his children, Jeannine Shepard and husband Harold of Kent, OH, Martha Deep and husband Thomas of Kent, OH, Eleanor Schiesl of Tacoma, WA, and Charmaine Duzyk and husband John of New Castle; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Eugene Pisella Jr.; brothers, Alfred and Arthur Pisella; sisters, Helen Iannucci and Rose Amantea; and half-brother, Pat Amantea.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Thursday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church of Mary Mother of Hope Parish, officiated by Father William Siple.
Interment will take place in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
