Shelby Jean Royals, 74, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Columbus Regional Health. She was born May 5, 1942 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Bob Kelly and Annie Mae McCracken Lee.

In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her husband Jasper Clayton Royals; five sisters, Daphine Hilbourn, Ernestine Hardee, Inez Boykin, Bertha Sharpe and Ruby Hardee.

Ms. Royals was a loving mother, sister and friend to all. Ms. Shelby loved helping others, crocheting, reading and playing the piano. She loved all pets. She was employed with A&P and Piggy Wiggly as a book keeper.

Ms. Royals is survived by two sons, Joseph C. Royals (Angela) of Conway, South Carolina and Jasper L. Royals of North Carolina and many other friends and family who will miss her.

The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Services from 6pm until 8pm Tuesday, December 6, 2016.

A Graveside Service will be held 11am Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Mr. Anthony Fipps and Rev. David Watts officiating.
