Skyland - Douglas Jeffrey (Jeff) Sasser, 47, of Skyland, NC passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert Sasser. He is survived by many loved ones including his grandmother, Annie Sasser; mother, Scarlett Dew; father, Harvey Sasser; his stepmother, Juanita Sasser; siblings, Jill Sasser Whitson, Berkleigh Dew and stepsister, Kristie Edmundson; children, Brooke Sasser McMichael, Dylan Sasser and Noah Sasser, and grandchildren Maylin McMichael and Mark McMichael.

Jeff was a long time employee of the Skyland Exxon, where he worked alongside his uncle, Eddie Sasser. He was a proud veteran and served in the US Marine Corps.

A memorial service for Jeff is scheduled for Friday, December 16 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, with a visitation with friends and family immediately following the service. The immediate family will attend a private burial.
