Visitation will be held Monday, December 05, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Bay Springs Baptist Church in Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 05, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Bay Springs Baptist Church in Bay Springs, MS. Burial will follow in Bay Springs City Cemetery in Bay Springs, MS. Bro. Lee Yancey and Rev. Frank Harmon will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ainsworth was married 65 years to the love of his life, Pat. He was a World War II veteran and a faithful member of The American Legion. He was affectionaly referred to as "Papa" by his grands, that were the joy of his life. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, where he shared his harvest with family and friends. Hunting and fishing were a favorite past time. After retirement, he served as a caterer along with his wife for the Wednesday evening meal at Bay Springs Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Bertha Ainsworth, brothers, Oree and Slonie Ainsworth, and sisters, Myrtis McKinley, Kathryn McClure,
Survivors include his wife, Pat Ainsworth, Bay Springs, MS; daughter, Charlene Mitchell (Eddie), Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Todd Mitchell (Samantha), Gallatin, TN; Jill Robichaux (Hal), Covington, LA; great grandchildren, Ella and Gray Robichaux, Covington, LA; Ainsley and Charlotte Mitchell, Gallatin, TN; brother, Huey Ainsworth (Alyne), Bay Springs, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Shane Cargile, John McKinley, James Stone, Mike Lucas, Ron Robinson and Hal Robichaux.
