The best way to describe Diane is to say “she loved”. Diane loved her life and the people in it very much. She loved her family above all else, especially her grandchildren, including all those in the neighborhood who called her “Grandma Diane”; they were the light of her life. Although she married more than once, it was her husband Terry whom she loved most and spent her life with. She loved her Savior, her church and her brothers and sisters in her faith. She loved the animals in her life, and there were many who were blessed to be raised by this loving caretaker. And, last but not least, she loved The Eagles, The Alabama Crimson Tide, and the occasional Pepsi.
The second best way to describe Diane is to say “she was loved”. And still is. Once you met her, you could not forget her. She will always be remembered for her sassy, enthusiastic and distinctly Southern personality, her bouyant laughter & sense of humor and her kind nature. She will also be remembered for her “tell it like it is” attitude and apparent lack of a filter. Diane was truly one of a kind.
She was preceded in death by most of her family. She is survived by both of her sons, Eric and Matthew Leaptrot, her grandchildren, Alanna, Kiara, Jared, Ben, Tucker and Noah, her sister, Martha Faye Heimdal, and her dog, Odie Bear.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 5, 2016
