McMinnville, TN resident and Chattanooga, TN native Charles Edward Anderson, age 74, was born May 2, 1942 and died November 29, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.
A retired maintenance worker with Carrier Corporation and a member of the Pentecostal Church, he was the son of the late John Houston and Lucille Mathis Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Tina Marie Smartt; two brothers, Donnie Joe Anderson and Paul William Anderson; and great-grandchild, Brandi Nashea Brooks.
He was married October 26, 1963 to Helen Marie Leverett Anderson of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and spouses, Charles Richard "Chuck" and Sharolyn Anderson of Morrison, TN, Tamela and Andy Judd of McMinnville, and Joey Edward and Shannon Anderson of McMinnville; brother, James Richard Anderson of Alabama; eleven grandchildren, Tisha Johnson, Brandy Brooks, Charles Richard Anderson, Jr., Tiffany Dawn Mullican, Brittany Jaye Jewell, Jay Allen Webster, Jr., Houston Shane Anderson, Casey Lynn Tolbert, Anjelica Grace Judkins, Dakota Shane Anderson and Shelby Kathlin Anderson; thirteen great-grandchildren; special cousin, Martha Martin; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016 in High's Chapel with Jason Nunley officiating. Burial will follow in Morrison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at High's.
