Rudolphus Daniel Gallagher, 76, of West Burlington, died at Mercy hospital here today at 6 a.m. He had been ill one year, and a stroke was the cause of death.
He was born in Burlington, Dec. 31, 1864, and resided here 10 years. He married the former Ida Neff Aug. 7, 1890, she preceding him in death, as did a son and six brothers.
Surviving are two daughters and three sons, Mrs. E. Weisner of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. J. Leffler Jr., C. W., Roy and Raymond C. Gallagher, all of Burlington; also two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's church, West Burlington, Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with interment in North Hill cemetery. The rosary will be recited at Giles chapel Friday at 7:30 p.m.
