He was born on May 26, 1933, in North Carolina, He was the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt "Velt" Holland, Sr & Hattie Ridgeway Holland of Canton, NC. He is survived by and married Mary Frances Deaton on August 20, 1950. He is also survived by four children they had during their marriage.
