Walter "Bo" Bohannon remains a legend at our department. Hired in 1946, at an hourly rate of $1.09 an hour, Bo was a longtime, dedicated law enforcement officer in Titusville.
In December 1959, Bo was promoted to the rank of "Sergeant", the first in the history of our department.
In 1962, Bo was promoted to Lieutenant. It was here that he again made his mark in our department's history, having organized and supervised Titusville's first "Detective Division".
In April of 1965, Bo was promoted to Captain and later served as Interim Police Chief before his retirement in 1974.
Bo remained active in department events for decades after his retirement, always willing to share department history with newer officers. Bo's dedicartion and service will always be remembered!
