Robert C. Freeland, Jr., 90, passed away on November 18, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Margaret H. Freeland.
Born in Asheville, NC, he was a son of the late Robert Connelly Freeland, Sr. and Percy Saunders Freeland.
Robert earned his Bachelor’s Degree in business from Bob Jones University.
He retired from Imaging Technologies and was a driver for Hertz-Rental Cars.
Robert served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church and was also an honorary member of the Kendall Men’s Class of Edwards Road Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Pat Billings and husband Jim, of Simpsonville; a brother Donald L. Freeland and wife Evelyn, of Asheville, NC; three granddaughters, Erin Fenton and husband Aaron, of Findlay, OH; Meredith Henry and husband Michael, of Greenville, and Meghan Owens and husband Charles, of Hartselle, AL.
He was blessed to be a proud great-grandfather to Marlee, Chais, and Maggie Owens, Ethan Fenton and Alecia Grace Henry.
Burial: Greenville Memorial Gardens.
