Timothy Lee Adams, 57 year old lifelong resident of Jackson County passed away Thursday morning, November 17, 2016 at his home in Altus.
Tim was born in Altus on February 27, 1959 to parents Charles and Kathern (McKee) Adams. He graduated from Altus High School, Class of 1978, where he enjoyed playing football. On November 19, 1985 he married Deborah Bennett in Vernon,
Texas and they have been married for almost 31 years. Tim worked at the American Gypsum Plant in Duke since 1997 and was a member of the Tamarack Road Church of Christ in Altus. He enjoyed collecting knives, was a Ham Radio Operator and a big OU fan. But most of all, Tim loved his family and spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his aunt and uncle, Buddy and Wanda Lou McKee; and his cousin, Janet Cora.
Tim is survived by his wife Deborah Adams of the home; his son, Timothy Adams of Clinton; two daughters, Sharon Adams also of Clinton; and Jennifer Harase and husband Yusuke of Elk City; his brother Mike Adams and wife, Sandy of New Mexico; his sister, Nancy Adams of Enid; his grandson, Wyatt Harase; as well as nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory in Altus
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Tamarack Road Church of Christ in Altus with Henry Holub officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
