Savannah -Kathryn Ann James Palefsky, 63, of Savannah, Georgia, died Wednesday morning, January 3, 2007, at Hospice Savannah. Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Lemuel James and Wilhelmina Neal James. Mrs. Palefsky was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen J. Sheppard, and a brother, William C. James. Surviving are three daughters, Amy Goss of Newnan, Georgia, and Alina P. Knapp and her fiancŽ, Bob, and Carol P. Cobb and her husband, Raymond, all of Savannah, Georgia; one son, Matthew Palefsky and his wife, Nikki, of Rincon, Georgia; one sister, Susan J. Kurth and her husband, Ken, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and ten grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue. Funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend John H. Clanton.
