John Von Bon, age 86 of Dedham, Iowa, died on Friday 15, 1991 in Carroll, Iowa. John was born on March 6, 1904, the son of John and Johanna (Dubert) Von Bon.
On November 25, 1924, he was married to Teresa Marie Schmitz at Carroll, Iowa. Teresa died in January of 1970, and on May 11, 1974, he married to Anne Seidl Rodrick at Dedham, Iowa. John spent most of his working life in the trucking business and from 1943 to 1969 he was employed as a caterpillar operator for Carroll County.
He is survived by his second wife Anne; his children, Delbert Von Bon, Kathleen Horner, John “Jack” Von Bon, Jr., Mary Smith, and Ronald “Butch” Von Bon; step-children LaVonne Vasquez and Ron Roderick; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great grandchildren; and his sisters Elizabeth Turner and Sophia Pelster.
