She was born on January 11, 1938 and left this world on August 7, 1994 at the age of 56.

At the time of her passing...she was pre-deceased by a son (John Thurman)...father (Frank Plummer)...and baby sister (Sarah Jane).

She is survived by 5 children: Teresa, Tammy, Billy, Priscilla and Johnny.

She was blessed to know 3 grandchildren before she passed. Tasha, January and Rachel.

At the time of her passing she also left behind, her mother (Ellen Plummer) and 7 sisters and 1 brother, a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Her heart was bigger than anyone could ever perceive. She never met a stranger. Everyone was made to feel welcome and a part of her family.

When having a heart to heart with her one day, I asked her this question: How she found the strength to forgive so easily, the people who hurt her so badly?

Her response to me just boggled my mind. She said this: "The price you pay for holding a grudge, far outweighs the pain you received, from the person you held the grudge against..."

She truly believed that she would pay a bigger price in the long run, if she held on to the offense, then just forgiving that person and setting them free from the guilt of the pain they caused her.

It was a privilege to call her my "mom"... I miss and love you so very much.
