Robert W. Hoyt Sr. age 82 of Midland, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Medilodge of Midland.
The son of the late Chester A. Hoyt and Mabel B. Wolfgang was born on January 22, 1934 in Wheeler, MI. On March 6, 1953 Bob married the former Patricia Callow at Trinity Lutheran Church in Midland. After 62 years of marriage she predeceased him on May 3, 2015. Bob worked as a Lab Technician for Dow Corning for over 35 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed playing and listening to old classic country music, singing and spending time with his family. In past years he loved riding his Harley, riding horses, fishing, and hunting.
In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Chambers; brothers, Wilbur Dean Hoyt, Jim Finch, Philo Finch; sisters, Doris Dunn and Vera Suppes-Brickner.
Funeral Service for Mr. Hoyt will be conducted 11:00 am, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Mitzi Nimmo officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3-5 pm and 6-9 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery.
