Charles Ahlbur. Committed by D. W. Spear Judge of Placer Co. April 2nd 1868. Age 55 years; native of Sweden; single; came to this State in 1852; occupation, carpenter. The evidence of insanity is he is constantly under the apprehension that some one has designs against him; raves all night and every night. He attempted suicide by calling his throat with a razor a few days since. The date of attack and duration of disease are unknown; has no disposition to injure others; is filthy and destructive; had no peculiarities so far as known; has been temperate; no change in health; cause of insanity unknown; class, mania. Admitted April 4th 1868. Has no property. Died October 23rd 1868 of Consumption.
