Donald Eugene Vowell, “I ain’t mad at nobody”, 83, of Ward, died Thursday, October 27, 2016. He was born on April 7, 1933 in Parkin, AR to the late Thurl David Vowell and Jimmie Sherrill Vowell. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force. Throughout his life, Mr. Vowell owned and operated several businesses, including, a gas station/ Tire shop, liquor store, bar, and a car auction, where his roles were auctioneer, truck driver, and car dealer, “I did life my way”. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Donna Marie Brock, and a sister, Louise Huffman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Susan Vowell; his children, Valerie Fitzgerald (Quint) and her mother Ola Vowell, Phillip Vowell, step sons, Jeff Parker (Tabitha) and Will Parker (Kristen), son in law, J.P. Brock; 16 grandchildren, Josh Brock (Danyal), Patrick Brock (Yvonne), Katie Carter (Danny), E.J. Fitzgerald, Ashlynne Fitzgerald, Brooklynne Fitzgerald, Gunner Parker, Teagan Parker, Meagan Parker, Tristin Risley, Kitiara Bench, Raistlin Bench, Ethan Rodriguez, Landry Duranth, Ryland Duranth, and Emma Lee Collins; 9 great grandchildren, Maddison Brock, Hayle Cummings, Brock Carter, Cailey Brock, Brendon Brock, Colby Floyd, Dillon Floyd, Konnor Pollzzie and Klint Pollzzie; brother, Robert Vowell and sister, Patsy King.

A Memorial Service will be at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016. Interment will be Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
