JOANNA KAY GRIMMETT-MOSLEY, 48, of Paddle Creek, W.Va., went home to be with her loving son, Terry Lee Mosley, in heaven, Thursday, October 20, 2016 following a short illness.
“Kaykay” was born May 26, 1968 in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clayton and Shirley Grimmett. In addition to her parents and her son, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Sue Elkins and Teresa Lynn Earp; one brother Jeff Lawson, one very special uncle, Terry Lee Grimmett.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James Hank Mosley; two sons, Jason (Erica R.) Grimmett of Paddle Creek, and Joshua (Erica W.) Mosley of Trinity, N.C.; two grandchildren Kaylin Grimmett and Jayden Mosley whom she loved spending time with; special mother with whom she made her home, Linda Grimmett; five brothers, Clayton “Bub” Grimmett, Jr., Jack Wade Grimmett, both of Paddle Creek, Sammy “Bo” (Erika) Mosley of Ft. Gay, Melvin (Vickie) Mosley of Ranger, W.Va. and Dwayne Grimmett of N.C.; six sisters, Cindy (Owen) Bailey of Pecks Mill, W.Va., Crystal (John Rogers) Grimmett of Paddle Creek, Latira (Larry) Simpkins of Accoville, W.Va., Lisa (Lonnie) Maynard of Lyburn, W.Va., Mary (Jack) Gills Ribeiro of Gosnell, Ark., and Jean Leach of Dayton, Oh.; special nephew Sammy “Bubba” Mosley; special niece Cortina Rogers with whom they lived with; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other family members.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Ft. Gay, W.Va., where she attended, with Pastor Luther Dingess and Brother Chris Napier officiating. Burial will follow in the Terry Lee Mosley Memorial Cemetery, Ft. Gay. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the church. Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the Grimmett-Mosley family
