LEWISTON — Steven R. Kimball, 52, of Hartford passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, at d’Youville Pavilion following a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Steve was born in Lewiston on Nov. 25, 1963, the son of Bud and Mary (Cooper) Kimball. He attended Buckfield schools and graduated in 1982.
He was employed for many years at Maine Apple Growers. He had also worked at Dingley Press and Pioneer Plastics.
Steve lived in Buckfield most of his life and in Hartford for the last 10 years.
He was fondly referred to as “The Mayor of Buckfield.”
Steve will be remembered for his quick wit, generosity and kindness. He was loved by all who knew him.
He enjoyed listening to music, watching Red Sox, Patriots, NASCAR and motocross. Steve was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and motorcycling. He was also a member of the NRA.
Steve leaves behind three sisters, Diane Walker of Buckfield, Peggy Lowenstein and Bill of Auburn, and Susan Dufault and Dick of Lewiston; two nephews, Matt Walker of Kennebunk and Nic Dufault of Lewiston; one niece, Beth Pham of Auburn; and his dog, Tank. He is survived by many other relatives including cousin, Paul Chamberlain.
He was predeceased by his parents.
The family would like to send a special thank-you for the excellent care he received from all his caregivers at d’Youville, Russell Medical in Turner, the Infusion Center and Dr. Rausch at CMMC, Androscoggin Home Care, and the Wound Center at St. Mary’s.
