Wives were Susan Hines of Anson County, and Mary Haynes of Virginia Henry Marshall Will
To sell the balance of my estate both real & personal to be equally divided among to the children now living of my son Henry Marshall. My said grandchildren now living in Missouri.
I have appointed Joseph Marshall my excutor. I have set my hand this the 28th day of September 1865. WitnesseL.A. Whitlock

Census of 1880 show that Joseph was the sherriff of Stanly County. Census of 1840 show he was the older brother of Henry. Joseph being born about 1823, Henry born about 1828.
Census of 1850 show his wife Mary being born about 1783.
