The body of Charlie Bates, who was drowned last week in the Caney Fork river, was found Tuesday morning. Funeral services were held in the Clemons cemetery by Elders Oliver and Weston, Tuesday afternoon.

Son of Joseph Bates and Rebecca Kelley.
Husband to Ocia E. Clemons
Father to Cora Beatrice Bates, Mona Lee Bates, Charles Edward Bates, Martha Dee Bates, Melva E Bates and Hubert Bates.
