Olinda M. Adam, 84 years of age, of Beatrice, died Thursday night, December 14, 2006 at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center. She was born on April 3, 1922 at Washington County, Kansas and was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church at Hanover, Kansas. She attended the Trinity Lutheran School at Hanover. She was married to Herbert F. Adam on February 14, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran and they lived and farmed in the state line area until moving to Beatrice in 1975. She then worked at the Beatrice Community Hospital from 1975 until 1992. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Beatrice. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, raising flowers and yardwork.
Survivors include one son, Earl Adam and wife Peggy of Odell; four grandchildren, Brian Adam and wife Brooke and Lindsey Adam all of Lincoln, Farrah Matthews and husband Joe of San Angelo, Texas and Lacey Williams and husband Dan of Bellevue, Nebraska; five great-grandchildren, Bryson, Caleb, Brady, Samuel and Lillian; one sister, Laura Frerking of Beatrice; seven sisters-in-law, Helen Stolte of Greeley, Colorado, Viola Stolte of Linn, Kansas, Helen and Velma Adam of Odell, Hilda Niemann and Leona Adam of Beatrice and Edna Thomsen of Lanham, Kansas; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernst and Theresa Niemann Stolte, her husband, Herbert who died on February 15, 1994; five brothers, Henry, Edwin, Clarence, Ernst, Jr. and Elmer; and two sisters, Esther Riggert and Adelia Pralle.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, December 18, 2006 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Timothy W. Wagner officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Monday in the fellowship room of the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the Fox Funeral Home in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice until 9:00 P.M.
