She was a native of Pinellas County, Fla., and a resident of Effingham County the past 30 years. She was a member of Countryside Baptist Church. She was an Army veteran, a graduate of Evangelical Bible Institute and a homemaker. She coached and played softball. She was a Cub Scout leader and an Awana leader. She headed the Food Source and the Benevolent Committee at her church.
SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Harold Deal of Guyton; a brother, Ronnie Smith of Rincon; two sisters, Judy Trevino of Guyton and Janette Zintner of Beverly Hills, Fla.; a grandson, John Cherrybone of Guyton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. today at Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Countryside Baptist Church, burial in Hillcrest West Cemetery.
