Grover Lee Andrews, 83, of Shenandoah went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was born September 1, 1933 in Page County and was the son of the late Johnny and Ollie May Andrews.
 
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters, Viva Comer and Lillian May and brother, David May.
 
Grover worked in construction for over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and  enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. Grover was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved his cat, Angel. 
 
On October 21, 1961 he married Phyllis Andrews, who survives.
 
In addition to his wife he is survived by children, Scotty Andrews and wife, Teresa and Andy Andrews all of Shenandoah; sister, Jackie Dean of Elkton; grandchildren, Danielle, Heather, Morgan, Caleb and Tanner Andrews.
 
A memorial service will held at 4pm on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Reverend Frank Grimsley officiating.
 
The family will receive friends following the service.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Department, 201 Pennsylvania Ave. Shenandoah Va. 22849.
