In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers, Robert "Peanut" Anderson and Charles Anderson.
Bobby was a self-employed concrete finisher, was previously employed with Pettit Paving for many years and had recently retired from the Town of Luray. He spent lots of time at Kites Store where he enjoyed helping his lifelong friend, Sylvia Deavers, and enjoyed many early morning games of Rook. He was a dedicated member of Bear Lithia Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Kisling Anderson; his daughter, Dawn Dean & husband, Aaron of Shenandoah; brothers, Raymond Anderson of Luray and Tony Anderson and wife, Denise of Newport; sisters, Joan Wright & husband, Rusty Drummond, Juanita Shenk, Florence Turner and husband, Charles and Mary Frances Broyles and husband, Eddie, all of Luray; grandchildren, Madison, Kolby and Kayla Lam and husband, Jason; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, October 3, 2016, at Bear Lithia Springs Baptist Church in Elkton with Pastor Donald Leatherman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
