It was their first real family vacation.

Greg and Sarah Moyers had been saving for months to take their two young daughters from their small town in Missouri to Florida. They visited Disney World, Universal Studios and were on their way to the beach when everything came to a halt Sunday.

A vehicle drifted into their lane on Interstate 4 near DeLand and caused them to veer off the road and hit a tree about 12:30 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Both parents died.

Their girls, Hailey, 13, and Sophia, 8, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, 43-year-old Charles King of New London, N.C., was uninjured.
Greg, 40 years of age owned a muffler shop, which is a centralized part of the small community where they've lived for more than 20 years Leadwood, a small town in eastern Missouri. and is a place where they held get-togethers and cookouts.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Edna Ruth Moyers; grandparents, James and Wanda Jean Bates. Greg’s wife, Sarah (Neeley) Moyers, also passed away in the car accident.
Greg is survived by his children, Haley and Sophia Moyers, T.J. (Kennedy Brewer) Radford, Samantha (Jeremy Bowles) Neeley, and Micah J. Neeley; parents, Richard and Jimy Moyers of Park Hills; Pop Pop, Winston Bowles; grandparents, Herusel “Curly” (Joyce) Moyers; siblings, Wanda J. (Brad) Tinsley, Rhonda (Jeff) Lovelace, and Richard L. (Summer) Moyers II; nieces and nephews, Gregory Moyers, Amber Lovelace, August Montgomery, Logan Pratt, Mollie Sherman, Jacob Coal, Grace Neeley, William Kurtz and Sam Haley.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
