Tucson, AZ & Putnam, CT - Rita M. (Ledoux) Bednarz, 85, formerly of Putnam, died Monday, October 1, 2007 in her home in Tucson AZ. She was the loving wife of the late John Bednarz. Born in Southbridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Georgianna (Duplessis) Ledoux.
Mrs. Bednarz worked for American Optical for many years. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Nancy MacKenzie and her husband Robert Sr.; two sisters, Lorraine Coderre of Putnam and Claire Paquette of Baltic; two grandchildren, Robert MacKenzie Jr. of Tucson, AZ and Krista MacKenzie of Pheonix, AZ and four great grandchildren, Makayla, Josie, Jason and Jonathan.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rita’s family at 9:00 am Saturday, October 6, 2007 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam. Burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
